before i post my new year's resolutions for 2005, i thought i'd recap some highlights from last year. during the last 12 months, i learned how to swim, passed the uk driving test, created this site, and read and enjoyed thirty-six new books. i have completed a few other resolutions too (and missed some others) but i particularly proud of the laps i can swim in our nearby pool and the growing pile of books beside my bed.
