i had an offsite meeting all day today, so maddie spent her first full day at nursery. i dropped her off at 8am and picked her up just before 6pm.
i know some people do this every day, but i found it really hard. not only does ten hours seem like a very long day for an eighteen month old to be in day care, the commute home took about three times longer than normal because of rush hour. we played "i spy with my little eye" in the massive queue we sat in all the way home. by the time we got home, it was bed time: i quickly stuck her in the bath when we walked in the door, and richard read her a book and put her in her cot.
no puzzles, no friends, no music with mummy class. no feeding the birds or watering the plants.
i really appreciate having my afternoons to spend with her and really missed seeing her today.
Tell me what is going on with the work situation!
