america the beautiful

lainie gave madeline two books on america for christmas. she figured, correctly, that living over here, maddie's exposure to things american were limited. so we have these two great patriotic books in our collection. one of them is america the beautiful. it has all the words to the song, and when i read it to maddie, i sing it. i must say, that song really has a lot of verses.

maddie started picking this book off her shelf a few days ago and asking richard to read it to her. he even sings it to her. he has threatened to change to words to be something more english-friendly, but he hasn't.
