richard and i are formula one fans but rarely have time these days to sit down and watch the hours of coverage on the weekend. instead, we record qualifying and the race, and watch it over a few evenings later in the week.
the hard part is making sure we don't hear the results. this used to be easier, because the uk press were a bit ambivilant about fernando alonso and they disliked michael schumacher, so the race wasn't headline news. we got really good at turning the radio, and i never read the sports pages anyway.
these days, with our english superstar and media darling lewis hamilton, it's not so easy. as a result, i have seen the results before watching for the past two races. makes for a boring week of tv.
