tonight i'm just too tired to cook, so we have ordered a takeaway from our local indian restaurant, monsoon, which has the most amazing chicken tikka masala and chicken chat rolls. good indian food is one of many things i will truly miss from england if we move back to the united states.
That is the place that we got take-out from when we visited last year, right? If so, I think about that place every time I think of Indian food. I loved their Saag Aloo - the spinach was so nice, kind of freshly chopped instead of pureed into a greenish brown slurry like most places do. I ended up buying a cookbook (Suvir Saran's 'Indian Home Cooking') just to make a similar type of saag at home. And that mango chutney was amazing too. Mmmm.

I think you would find the Indian food much improved... the influx of Indians in places such as Redmond has resulted in a few very good Indian restuarants (and lots of shops with ingredients as well).
