the combination of our loss to south africa in rugby and lewis's loss to kimi made for a sad weekend of english sport. my connection with finland and my relief that alonso wasn't the victor should have been a great consolation but i have to admit being quite disappointed that lewis hamilton didn't come out on top.
lewis's dad, who is this amazing guy, was all positive, professional and mature about it in the interviews following the race, and ended up making all the english sports commentators look bad.
as he said, lewis is only 22. there is always next year. and maybe honda will get their act together and jenson will be a true competitor again. we can only hope.
